Crotalus Cascavella

Snakes are reptiles, all of whom are limbless, scaled predators with a carnivorous diet. Some snakes are poisonous, and nearly all of our snake medicines come from the venomous group. This includes well-known medicines such as Lachesis, the bushmaster, Crotalus horridus and cascavella, the rattlesnakes, Elaps, the coral snake, and Naja the cobra.

Snake venoms are complex mixtures of polypeptides and organics with the ability to paralyze, kill and digest any prey organism. The venom composition is diverse, differing between species (inter-specific venom variations) and individuals (intra-specific venom variations). Hereditary and epigenetic factors (e.g., geographical distribution, diet, snake maturity) contribute to the venom variability. Based on the victim's symptoms of snakebite, snake venom can basically be classified as neurotoxic or hemorrhagic.

Palpitation if any one stands at her r. side. Faintness > in open air. Sensation as if r. hip, from hip to heel, were shortened; this sensation, though illusory, causes him to limp.
General coldness, not relieved by energy. Feet icy cold. Smell, like that of the snake; as of a hospital. Itching of tongue.
