Urticaria (neetle-rash, hives)
Individual wheal may fade after few minutes and seldom persists longer than few hours. Therefore when your doctor wants to examine there may be no lesions. In such case diagnosis is made on the basis of history. There may be fever, gastro-intestinal or other constitutional symptoms. It may recur at short or long intervals. Acute and chronic forms occur. In acute urticaria cause may be established but in chronic form the cause may often remain unknown.
Causes: Food allergy: Shell fish, crustacean. Drug allergy: some drugs may give rise to. Parasites: e.g. intestinal worms. Physical factors: Light, cold, heat or exertion may provoke it. Fatigue and overwork predispose. Frustration and resentment are provocative. Endocrine and metabolic disturbances may play a contributory role.
Treatment Avoid suspected causes. Take “URTICA URENS-Q” 1drop in a cup of water 1 hourly till you get relief. Put “CALENDULA OFFICINALIS-Q” 1 drop per liter in your bathing water. Take plenty of fresh fruits and green vegetables regularly. This page contains basic information. If you are concerned about your health, you should consult a doctor. |
